Help, Removing valve seals
I use a slide hammer tool that I bought from Goodson. Worst-case if I can't get the jaws under the seal, then I wiggle it up a little with a pair of pliers.
I've never done it before but I suppose you could heat up the rubber enough to soften it and then wiggle them off with pliers or the slide hammer. I would apply heat slowly and probably only want to use a propane torch... no MAP or Oxy-A.
