get a micrometer and measure your feeler gauges. Sometimes if you used Shiat feeler gauges they can be way off of whats printed on.

 

are y8 motors louder as far as clicking than y7 motors , i threw a d16y8 full swap into my car and the falves seem to be louder , i can hear a clicking , i think its the valves or are the vtec motors just louder like that??

z6 is .007 intake and .008 exhaust..

 

Timmay - Dude, I had the SAME exact problem. I adjusted mine to those exact clearances and the same thing happened to mine. The valves were loud as ****. I called up a guy I know that's a mechanic and asked him the clearances. Like someone said earlier.....

18-.22mm (.007-.009in.) Intake
.23-.27mm (.009-.011in.) Exhaust

Trust me from experience dude.....

 

yea i did .007 and .009 and there was no difference
