Default Help OBD1 Coversion

I have a civic with an ls motor that is currently OBD2, I want to covert to OBD2.
Does anyone know anything about this conversion. Like what gains or improvements will I get.

Do you mean you want to convert to OBD1? If so, the only advantages of converting are the ability to run tuning software like Hondata, Crome, and Uberdata. What are your goals and current setup on the car and do you live in an emmisions area?

No I am in Canada and we have no emmisions. I want to start doing internals and I heard that obd2 will just override most things.. Ie advancing timing. Now my friend is picking up a B20z and converting it to OBD1 as well, He is doing so because there are a few more in the area and they picked up hp with the conversion. Does this sound realistic or like BS?
