oil pressure is how much pressure the pump is pumping the oil through ur motor at. and oil level is how much oil u phsycially have in ur oil pan.

so if I were short around 1/2 - 1 quarts of oil, and my oil pressure was at normal psi, would it be okay to drive w/ that amount of oil?

yes its fine to drive on. just fill it up as soon as you can. say next day or two. my brother ran around on 4 quarts of oil in his eclipse for 3-4 months. so if that motor can survive then a prelude motor will do fine. he didnt fill up the oil either and it turned a lovely jet black and had about 2.5-3.5 qts left.

but when I fill it up to the second dot, about 1/2 a quart always leaks out and stays at that level w/out leaking anymore out.

from the top of the oil pan, and there's a stain around the oil cap (even though its on as tightly as it can be), and in the top right corner (to the right beside VTEC) where that plug is.

yeah that's what I thought, but the weird thing is that when I'm about a 1/2 a quart low, it doesnt leak at all.
