There is something not installed right on the top part of the strut. I forgot what it is we had the problem with my friends car doing that and we didn't install like a washer or something right...I'll ask him after this period and reply in my 4th period class.

You're missing a washer I believe that sits on a little notch on the shock... I believe the washer goes on the shock first, then all of the rubber boots, etc

 

yeah its just a metal guy kinda looks weird.

Are you sure you don't have the rubber bushings upside down? the one underneath the cap should cone down, and the top one should cone up. But dang, that's just not normal. Not healthy for the car man.

 

I think it is that you forgot the #13 washer on your pic. it has a conical seat that sits on the 1/2" long tapered part of your shock. is the lower bushing installed? check it out.

 

did you cut like 5 coils on your springs? lmao. j/k what sus. setup you running?

 

If the #13 washer above the bumpstop is not in place, it will do like what is shown in the photo up top.
