help me out somebody

ok i got a 89 civic si check engine light is on i put a new o2s and still on car spits when i hit the gas can someone tell me if the ecu has to be reset or what

you can try it..just disconnect the black(negative) cable on the battery for like 5-10mins...it wont hurt anything to try that..

Shouldn't require resetting. What code(s) are you throwing?
BTW, if you disconnect the battery, the idle will need to be re-learned. (Let it idle until the engine reaches operating temp)
