1990 honda accord dx 95k auto trans.... a short time ago i told you guys that i'm gettin bad gas mileage. i recently got under my car and noticed that the muffler seperated from the long metal tube to the engine. i guess it rusted off... could this be the reason for the shitty gas mileage????

no dude... it was not loud.........

 

i think its possible your cat is clogged sence your car isnt loud and you muffler is disconected
and that could possibly lead to poor mileage

 

what is a "cat" how is it related to my muffler and where can i find it??? also, can i clean it myself??? pic's would help thanx alot guys
