HELP!!! Is this LSD BAD? or Fixable?

i personally wouldnt put it in my car, but it could work fine. there is a little clearance between the 2 pieces but still..
thats just a bearing. you can get a replacement from Honda. Have a shop pull that one and install the new one. I would get two new ones, one fro each side.
yeah, but the thing is that lsd's for a prelude wasn't offered in the states... so why would they have parts for it?
If the hardened surfaces look good on the bearing. Take a flat punch from the inside and a "tapping" hammer and work the dent out. Buck the cage on either side of the dent with two other hammers. You should only tap on the cage, not the race or the rollers. Don't try to get it perfect, just better. That assembly was dropped on the stamped steel retainer. No big deal. I "know" how to work that dent out, but its damn hard to explain on the internet.
That kind of thing would be an issue on a very high speed bearing, but if it was in that kind of application it would be a ball bearing with a phenolic two part cage.
