Default help jdm tranny question

i have a jdm d15b tranny. its automatic. i wanted to know where i can find the specs for it. also it dosent kick down all the time. plus it shift to second at like 15-20 mph. at that speed it will kickdown to 1st all teh way to 40. but if it gets up to 30 mph it refuses to kick down. also when in second, some times it kicks down at 60mph all teh way to 75 and other times it wont no matter how many times i stomp on the pedal. i talked the guy i bought the tranny form and he says it may be my throttle postiion sensor, and he says thats on the engine. i think hes bullshitting me. i think its the tranny. the damn thing has the longest second gear i ever scene. from 40 mph to 75? does taht sound right? my old dx auto tranny pulled vtec from 15 to 35mph then from 40 to 60mph. then it would come back at 75-80 mph.and pull to about 100. this jdm bullshit pulls form 20 to 40 but dosent kick down sometimes, then ffrom 50 -55 to 75, then in third it hits 80 till... too scared to go to 100 plus. ive doen it before but i got bad brakes and alignment lol.
so deos anyone now why this tranny isnt shifting right. is it the gearing. and why dosent it kick down all teh time? i already checked the kickdown cable and it apeers to be fine. please help?
