Default help guys fast!!!

my mechanic calls, he said that I kneeded a new distributor? I asked him what party he said it needed a whole new thing? isnt the ignitor inside the distribitor, which would be causing no spark? My car didnt turn on yesterday....
estimate 300.00

what exactly are you asking? Yes the igniter is $293 from , the housing should still be good. the coil may need replacement,$100. sounds like a scam! $750 for a new distributer

Yea, the igniter is in the distributor, along with several sensors that can also cause a no spark problem. Glad you finally got your problem diagnosed.

I just wanted to make sure I wasnt getting scammed, he told me a new distributor, so I went ahead and OKed it.
