HELP:Getting no power when I turn the Key!
Ok so i'm in a pickle with my car. Its obd1 vtec del sol with an lsv I just finished. Problem is the car has been torn apart for a year and i'm just buttoning it up. I just put a new battery in and its fully charged at this point. When I turn the key to ignition on, nothing at all happens. No lights/sounds/clicks/NOTHING! I've gone through the fuses under the dash and hood and everything seems kosher...I have the tranny ground on, thermostat ground good, starter and entire harness hooked up, battery ground, everything looks good. I thought the old battery was the entire problem, and it tested bad so I put the new one in, trickle charged it 24hrs and checked to see if I had power and nothing. I thought i'd post here to see if someone knew right off the top of their head...Any suggestions...? Most searches bring crap about car clicking, etc and don't relate directly to this issue. Thanks!
Obviously a connection problem, do you have a 12V test light?
If so, connect the test light ground to the batt. pos.(+) terminal, [both pos.(+) and neg.(-) cables most be connected to batt.], touch test light probe to cars chassis and engine if thest light light lights up chassis and engine grounds are probably good.
Now move test light ground to the batt. ground terminal, touch the probe to the the batt. input on the engine bay fuse box then to the other side of main fuse, keep going down line as long as test light lights up.
Check for power at the ign. switch, [white lead], if good turn ign. switchon and test for power on the yellow and the black/yellow.
Let me know what you find. 94

I would start at the key switch and save time.
Check your white black wire for battery volatge then turn your key over and check your black white wire for batter voltage. If you have voltage there check fuse 31 and check for battery voltage there
If you don't have voltage at the keyswitch go back and check your fuse box under the hooooood

Ok, I have full power to all main fuses under the hood from the battery to the fuses. I extended the wire on the test light from the battery ground to the ignition where there are (5) wires I believe going in the ignition on the oposite side the key goes in and I get nothing with the light??? I'm terrible at electrical, so thank you for all that chime in to help. You may post here or text at 614-736-1003. Leland

Ok I changed fuse 31 even tho it wasn't blown, no change. I hooked test light to battery ground and touched all wires at ignitio. And it lit up. Seemed to light up on most things in that area. I'm at a loss because there is no visable evidence of chewed wires or anything.
