My setup is a stock CR b18C5, with Skunk II stage one cams, Portflow inners, VAFC, and a B&M FPR and guage.
Here is my problem. After I installed my cams I went to tune them with just my VAFC. The car spiked lean starting at 5,700rpm, peaking at 6k then, went rich quickly as it approached redline. It wasn't anything major and I was able to get it within reasonable limits with the VAFC.
I recently just had my Portflow inners installed, and before that I installed a B&M FPR as well but hadn't dynoed with it until now. During the process of reinstalling the head I switched the TPS and MAP sensor plugs (figured it out after the car ran like crap for a few minutes). Went to the dyno and car was running super lean at the same point as it did before. Well beyond what the FPR or VAFC could help (past 18:1 AF
). Keep in mind that during the trip to the dyno the car ran fine on the street. In able to give me piece of mind I dumped the car with fuel using the FPR as much as I could to richen it up. On my last dyno runs the car started to die after I released the gas.
I nursed the car home with it dying at most stop lights. Along the way the car threw the MAP sensor code. I figured switching the plugs fried it out and that it was causing my problems. Bought a new map sensor and hit the dyno again. Nothing changed, car was still running lean as crap at the same spot and the car continues to idle like crap. However now it doesn't die after letting off the gas. Any ideas?
