Tuning with my V-AFC
Would it be possible to tune my stock 00 Si ecu (OBD2b i believe) with a V-AFC? Im not looking at reving past my stock 8,000rpm point because im content with a spirited car to drive, not looking for ultimate power. I have a set of CTR cams with adjustable gears, i just want to tune my car for my mods without putting in a new ecu or valvetrain.

You NEED to hit a dyno and make sure you have a wideband o2 sensor hooked up to read a/f ratios and then and only then can you tune the car.
Also you must have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to tune with the V-AFC because the V-AFC CANNOT add fuel, but it can take fuel away in different rpm increments. So in other words you fatten up the entire fuel curve across the board with the FPR if you have lean spots. Then you go back with the V-AFC and trim fuel back at any RPM that is too rich after fattening up the entire curve with the FPR to fix lean spots.
I was very pleased with my tuning results (back in Feb of 03) with my V-AFC and fuel pressure regulator:
Before plot against after plot - note the huge-*** increases in midrange! I picked up +20whp and +20ft-lbs. of torque in the midrange! I also picked up 8 peak ft-lbs. of torque too!
Without a dyno and wideband o2 sensor your tuning efforts will be useless.
