i just installed a new exhaust system on my civic. When i tend to accelerate there is like a grinding noise coming from the engine area, i thinking something in the ignition. Any1 have a good idea what it could be??????

Also when i rev my car it starts smoke from under the intake man. any idea what it could be also. Im thinking the smokes coming from header area and they problem is that i may not have torqued the bolts to requirement.

Please someone let me know this kinda agravating me. I have no clue. Thanks

 

If you just installed the exhaust recently, the smoking is probably just oil and dirt from shipping burning off the exhaust. As far as the griding, jack the car up and take a peak...most likely your exhaust is htiting something.
