help with ecu chipping
okay so i have a chip and a socketed ecu
the ecu already has a chip in there and i wanna switch it with a different chip
is there any precautions i should take when replacing the chip?

is it a ZIF socket? if so just undo the locking lever and lift out the current chip. if it's a regular socket, i guess you'll have to very carefully yank it out...
. if this were mine i would then install a ZIF socket on top of the DIP to make life easier. i prefer the low-profile ZIF.
