Default HELP with dist. Problem

I just put a jdm d15b in my cx and i went to start it up and no start so i checked for fuel, i had fuel, i checked for spark, no spark. I took the dist. cap off and noticed oil on the rotor. Although there was oil on the rotor the rest of the dist. was clean. Where could this have came from? I changed out the rotor for a gsr one i had laying around which is brand new and still no luck with starting. Also when i took off the cap i think this little peice fell out, it seems to be some kind of graphite. One end appears to be broken off of something. Also the spring on the coil is bent out. Theres no CEL's by the way. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

check your cap for damage, also check your igniter. Probably getting oil from the distributor O-ring. Cheap at the dealer and easy to fix.

no the coil is seperate. Heres the pic.

Heres the testing procedure.
Remove the distributor cap, rotor and the inner cover.
Disconnect the BLK/YEL, WHT/BLU, YEL/GRN and BLU wires from the igniter unit.
Turn the ignition key ON. Check for battery voltage between the BLK/YEL wire at the igniter unit and body ground. If voltage is present, go to STEP 4. If there is no voltage, check the BLK/YEL wire between the ignition switch and the igniter unit.
Turn the ignition switch ON. Check for voltage between the WHT/BLU wire and body ground. Battery voltage should be present. If there is no battery voltage, check the ignition coil and the WHT/BLU wire between the ignition coil and the igniter unit. If there is battery voltage go to STEP 5.
Check the YEL/GRN wire between the PGM-FI ECU and the igniter unit.
Check the BLU wire between the tachometer and the igniter unit.
If all tests are normal, replace the igniter unit.
