Help diagnose steering problem
95 civic coupe-
I changed my brake pads today. All was checked and test drove the car with no problems. About 4 hours afterwards, I am on the highway and I hear a clanking sound (may sound like driveshaft ). I slow down. I can change gears, I can brake with no problems. If I accelerate the noise goes away for a few seconds, then returns. It's very loud.
It was too dark to jack her up. Anyone have any ideas of what I kind of damage I am looking at. I was thinking a tie rod or cv joint that went on me.......
I did lift the car pretty high but at a lifting point, could this have damaged a steering component.......

It happens when driving straight and when turning. It sounds like a clanking noise. Could something have come loose? Axle could of popped out?
