HELP!! crx b18c type r start problems... kinda
so i will start out by saying i have 4 ecu's the motor's obd2 p73 (untested) 2x p06 chipped one with a moates 2timer and the original obd0 crx ecu i think it is a pm6.. btw the crx is an si.
like i said i have not tested the obd2 ecu due to having to convert to obd2 which i dont want to do.
the car will start on obd0 crx ecu and idles decent maybe even a little low... but wont rev past about 3k
the first p06 i have i got from rywire they put a basemap on it for the motor. this ecu will not start the car
the second ecu i got from a friend on ebay he put a stock tune and a a moded tune on a chip for me the stock tune also will not start the car but when i ground the 2timer putting it in the second modded tune i can start the car... but is idles at start about 1500 and moved up to just under 2k ... this is with my distributor all the way back... if i move it forward the idle goes up to i think max 2100. also this tune will not rev past 4.1k
any suggestions ?
also maybe of note... is that i just rebuilt the motor... because i had terrible compression... compression now is around 210psi per cylinder and the new rings i doubt are seated yet as the motor had not run much. during the rebuild i put in skunk 2 stage 3 tuner cams which i have ruled out by putting the old ones back in with the same results.
i am thinking it is still an ecu problem or a tunning problem because i am getting such different results with different tunes... anyone have any ideas ...
oh BTW the modded tune was built off the stock tune but he increased fuel by 5% and adv timing by 1 degree he also set my rev limit 500rpm higher..
