Default ecu wont allow car to start. . .

I recently sold an 0bd2 p72 ecu to somebody and when they put it on their car, the car wouldn't start. It's been sitting around for 6 months or so, but I doubt that would have something to do with it. Is there anything that could cause this? There were no burns or anything on the circuitboard when I sold it.

it's probably in compatible, or something's not pluging in right. i had a short in my 94 ls ecu and it still started up my car but died right away when i tried driving it.
