when im in any gear and put on my cruise control. it comes on for about 3-5 seconds and then it stops, i can hear it when the pedal "pops" back into place. also when im driving and going a regular speed my cars starts jerking, not like jerking when im comming off the clutch to fast, not that hard, but its jerking enough to where i can feel it, and it does this often.. any help out there or should i just take my car to a mechanic??? Also, my idle is high when i first start her up(normal, warming up) but after its warm the idle drops to 700 and sometimes between 4-6RPMs feels like its going to cut off. can you guys help me out. I dont feel like paying madd labor charges.

There is usually a vacuum line coming from your cruise control make sure that it isn't pulled out or dry rotted that might cause a problem like you are explaining. just a thought
