Default help-code 7

I am getting code 7(throttle angle sensor) on my 88 civic 1.5 with dpfi. Can I fix the sensor or do I have to change throttle body? If I have to change throttle body where can I find one?

you mean the TPS (throttle position sensor) .. you can take the tb off and unscrew the two small screws.. junk yards sell them for fairly cheap. just grab 2 or 3 ..

any tps from a honda/acura will work. good luck.

if the car has rough idle, jumps up and down then it's your TPS... if not, just take it off and clean it out first.

you can still use a dremel and cut the rivet. then use a flathead to get it off. trust me, i have a 90 civic 4spd manual.. i've changed that out too.

Can you replace the rivets with screws?

you can also go to the dealer and buy a tps from a 929rr switch the wires and you are good to go

edit:dont know if the 929 will work since the tps for dpfi's is different than 92-up
