Help!!! CEL 23

I thinks thats the error code for the knock sensor??? Anyhow the knock sensor wasnt installed when I dropped the motor in but my friend did it by hand afterward.. does it have to be tight or would hand tightening work?

my engine threw that code the other day...then it threw a rod.
