My rpm's have gone up to 1500-2000. I've read about cleaning the iacv but what will stop my car from sputtering. The only mods i have are cold air intake and header. Those are on a d16y7. All info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks yall.

 

What's the problem? High idle, or sputtering?

Sputtering.

When the car is cold or warm it sputters bad at a low rpm. If i mash it it stops or jerks like crazy.

The sputtering when smashing the gas pedal sounds like an ignition miss and during 96-97 honda civics had an emissions recall. Spark plug wires were known to cause engine hesitation and sputtering. Also in 98-00 civics had a problem during cold start ups, the engine would sputter due to a contaminated MAP sensor and some defective intake manifolds. Hope this helps

no, the recall does not apply to 90-93 accords. However a faulty ignition system cause the same problems in the year range you specified
