I just installed a USDM ITR in an EK hatch. Car starts and seems to idle fine. After about five minutes or so driving, it sputters out and dies. It feels like it is misfiring. I changed the fuel pump, igntion cap & rotor, wires & plugs, timing belt and they did not fix anything. I don't currently have a CKF sensor hooked up, but I was told it would just throw a code and not hurt the performance, so I don't think this could be the problem. Any suggesstions?

i think you are supposed to throw a code right there, unless you run an obd1 ecu, whoever told you that the ckf sensor not hooked up does not hurt performance is lying to you, unless, you run an obd1 ecu and dizzy

 

same thing happend to me...so i just grounded ma tranny...and it didnt sputter n e more....you could try that...
