Help with camber
Well my luck does not seem to change! Last night I was out and about when i parked the coupe and had the wheels turned in, I noticed that the inside of the tire were wearing something fierce like down to the steels belts, so this morning I got up early and went to Town Fair Tire to get an alignment and 2 tires for now untill I buy my buddy club wheels and tires, anyway they sold me 2 Pirelli P8000's and aligned the coupe. When the car was done I asked the tech how off the coupe was and he gave me a alignment sheet it shows that the right front is off -1.2 degrees and the specified range is -1.0 to 1.0. Now will this cause the tires to wear out as bad as they did before or can I leave it like that and get good tire wear and not have any problems ?
Oh he also told me that camber can not be adjusted on a Honda unless I get a camber kit. Is this true or can it be adjusted with out the kit. If not I have to look into getting a kit and would need to know what kit is good and where I can get them.
Thanks in advance guys and girls.

yes u will need the camber kit front and rear. when u lowing your ride your tires sit like this / \ u got the - camber. u have to corret your camber if u dont it will eat up in side tires very bad. i just got my rear in i bough from ebay i paid about 60$
For the rear you can just use washers but for the front you need a camber kit.
1.2 degrees isn't that bad, it was probably the toe setting that was killing your tyres and that should have been fixed by the alignment.

You're fine and don't need a camber kit. As others have posted, its toe that eats tires. My camber is past spec, but I rotate my tires every 5K miles and don't have any abnormal wear.
They are right toe eats tires.. you can also check for toe if you tires have a saw toothed wear... that means that the tread is cut up and it should be kinda sharp youll see the tires have lil shreads on it..

Thanks you guys I appriciate the quick responses. I just wanted to make sure that I was not going to burn up the new tires like I did the ones I bought less than a year ago. And I they did reset the toe which was at -0.12 degrees but the specified range is -0.12 to 0.12 degrees. If it was with in spec why did it eat up the inside of the tire?
i heard that if u loweing your car u will get negative camber corret me if i wrong ? negative camber is when the top of the tires is tipped inward toward the car. positive camber is when the top tilts out. the downside is negative camber is that, when driving in straight line, the tilted is not square to the road. negative camber setting will load the inside edge of the tires more than the outsside edge when driving straight, resulting in uneven tires wear. when u take your car for alingment they just do the toe they can not adjust your camber if u don't have the camber kit. so i guess if u lowing your car u will need it. and let them adjust it back to your car spec is that right ?????

From the article:
Additionally the vehicle's toe is one of the most critical alignment settings relative to tire wear. A toe setting that is just a little off its appropriate setting can make a huge difference in their wear. Consider that if the toe setting is just 1/16-inch off of its appropriate setting, each tire on that axle will scrub almost seven feet sideways every mile! Extend it out and you'll discover that rather than running parallel to each other, the front tires will scrub over 1/4-mile sideways during every 100 miles of driving! Incorrect toe will rob you of tire life

camber adjustment is always good to get the specs where you want them to, or if your car is lowered a lot.
