Default HELP with Brake problem

I was putting new pads and rotors on my car and I had someone pump the brakes while the caliper was off and not even thinking that they were pumping the brakes i started to look for a tool.....well when i looked back to the caliper the brake piston is WAY out, i was able to push it back in some of the way but I can't seem to get it all the way back to where its supposed to go...anyone have any ideas?

Why would you have someone pump the brakes?
Well you prolly unseated he piston. If you cant get it back in you gonna have to take the caliper apart and put it back together

we had that happen on my buddys Trans am, we just completely took the caliper off and beat both the pistons back, to make it easier you can also buy a tool from any car parts place for like 2 bucks that will push them back. Or you gon have to do what mmuller said

Put around the edge of it?

You do realize that a brake caliper can operate as high as 2000 PSI!!!!!!!!!

Never screw around with your brakes....
