Default help with b18c1 timing belt change

ok, i have a b18c1 in my civic hatch.. i took the motor out of my old civic coupe that was totaled.. the timing belt was cut in the accident so i replaced it along with several other parts that needed to be replaced..

now after changing the timing belt and lining everthing up to TDC the motor will not start.. i have checked everything camshafts are lined up and arrows pointing to each other, crankshaft is lined up to mark on block and still nothing.. what else can be wrong? could it be my dizzy?? the motor was torn apart after the accidnt to make sure of any internal damage to the valves and pistons, it was all fine.. please give me tips on how to start this motor.. do i not need to lined up to TDC and be at 16 degrees BTDC?? im LOST!! help

Steps to take when a car won't start:
#1-check for spark.
#2-check for fuel.
#3-check compression.
If any of the above checks reveal a problem, troubleshoot the cause-i.e., no spark, check the distributor, coil, igniter etc.

Make sure that the ground wire by the thermostat housing is connected.
