Default HELP WITH B18B1

Just bought a b18b1 tonight. However, at one time it had big plans so it is COMPLETELY disassembled. One of the rod journal u shape metal thingys went out on it and I want to make it a good working engine again which means I need to know which parts to buy/replace and I need somebody to put it all together as I dont have the experience. Think I could find sonebody that knows something about Honda engines assemble this thing if I provide all the necessary parts?

I do have everything though, each piston is in its own zip lock baggy with the approprate bolts, nuts. Just as an example. WIll post pics asap.

I have the same engine! If I am correct, the part you are talking about is the rod bearing. You may want to start with those. Check your crank for marks or scratches anything that looks like metal to metal grinding. If you see nothing your crank is okay. Check your piston rings. If you have plans for turbo, now would be a good time to add your low compression pistons and a block gard! Good luck

thanks yo

Would it be okay to just get low comp pistons and keep the stock rods? Any chance I can keep from blowing an additional $300 for rods is cool w/me!
