help ASAP im at school and problem with car....wont crank over, wont start, NO CEL!!
today on my way to school, while cruising the freeway i gas the car to pass up car that was going too slow.. rigth after i let off gas, my car died.. so i put it in gear back fired it back up.
So when i got to school, for some odd reason.. right when i was going to park, my car died..
i have a 1997 civic ex with, b18b turbo'd running crome pro/tunned
t3/t4 set up, walbro 255lph/rc440/b&m guage/str rail/ngk bkr7es-11 gapped at 28. etc
right now im on my lunch break, and i tried to see what the problem was...
car does not crank over! car does have fuel, pressure is set at 43psi.. i can hear the fuel pump pumping for a second and when i try to start it, it wont crank over.. so i cant really check for sparks. i did a compression test a few days ago, i had 185 across.
i replaced the whole distributor already,and never had a problem like this before
there is no check engine light
i checked all of the fuses, looks good. ground wires, looks good... starter signal wire, etc looks good. car nevered gave me any problems in the past.
i need help, my next class is at 1pm and i get off at 2:15.. i dont want to toll the car home

btw i called up one of my friends, he said it could possibly be the ecu/program?? because that happend to him before, but then again it started after a while...
luckly i keep a bunch of stuff in my trunk (ecu/injectors/plugs/plug wires/extra distributor/compression tester/ axles/ 2 jacks/ and about 50lbs of craftman's tools) in my trunk...
i changed the stock ecu OBD-1 and OBD-1 240cc ls stock injectors, didnt make a difference.
i then put back the tuned OBD-1 ecu with the OBD-1 440rc injectors and changed the distributor, didnt make any difference..
i cant really think of anything else besides my starter which could be messed up, or main relay?? im pretty sure if it cranked over, i would get sparks...
please help

Hmm, there are so many possibilities. First of all, just check the fuse again for sure. Check all the fuse underneath the hood. Try to jump the car maybe lol...or try to push start it. G/l man that is all I know.

The car died when you were driving it? and you just put it in gear and let off the clutch and it started back up. But now the starter wont even turn? Maybe a bad connection at the starter could cause that but that wouldnt cause your car to shut off while it was driving. Check the fuses like djtony5 said and also check to make sure all of the main harness clips are attached securely to eachother just to be sure... If there is no CEL though then I doubt thats the problem unless the bulb is burned out...

ok now im off from class, i parked too far.. so im going to do a little bit of research before i head back out to work on my car

battery is pretty tight in there. im thinking it could possibly be a blown fuse, or a bad connection... im leaning towards those area. well its almost 3pm here and sun sets at 4-5pm so ill keep you guys updated with what really went wronge. thanks
