Default HELP! another white smoker

its a 94 gsr swap in a 91 si hatch, i just replaced the head gasket not more than 200 miles ago. prior to that it would blow white smoke when warming up and after driving on the freeway. it was also overheating. since the headgasket replacement, im staring to have the same symptoms. will start to overheat, but once i hop on it it cools down, it smokes while warming up and while waiting at intersections after freeway driving, the smoke is very faint but only noticeable while stopped not while driving, i can also smell the exhaust but its weird not sweet smelling and not like its rich, its a smell ive never smelled, almost like deisel. please help

just check all your hoses make sure they are on all the way and no pin holes. Hopefully your head wasn't warped when you changed headgaskets, which may be a possibiilty. Also make sure you have the head bolts torqued correctly. Other then that I dunno, maybe a tiny crack in the block, but for your sakes i hope not

thanks for replying, i checked head with straight edge to ensure no warping, checked compression again last nite its still good right around 180 on all 4. im gonna check all the hoses this weekend.
last nite while checking compression i let it warm up and after revving to v tec i noticed a lil bit of oil outta the tail pipe which leads me to beleive its either valves or piston rings, how could i tell which one it is exactly?

well if its oil it won't be white smoke. Oil burns blue. But by doing a compression/leakdown test should be able to pin point your problem, well atleast it'll let you know which cylinder it is.
