Default Help

Ive got the engine and tranny apart.... but i cannot get the clutch to clear the bottom of the bell housing... unfortunately Im doing this by myself and dont have anyone locally that can help.... but What do I have to do now to get the clutch out of the bell housing... I can get it clear on the top... just not the bottom.... arggh!

Did you remove the lower cover?

I thought you had them out of the car. My bad. I usually pull the engine and trans out together on five speeds.

u are most likly gonna want to pull that all out at once. That is the easy way to do. Resecure your tranny and yank it!

Are you trying to pull the engine out the top, or drop it through the bottom?

either way i dont care! i just want it out.... although ive found the cause of all my sorrow i believe... im just going to remove the driver side axle.... there is a lil thin black plate around the bottom of the bell housing that is blocked by said axle.... anyone know what that is called ? anyways as soon as i get that damn axle out... grrr pain in the ***... then i should be able to pull it out of the top.... btw i simply unbolted the tranny from all the mounts so that i could just lower it some..... that seems to have helped also.... thanks for everyones suggestions... please keep them comming!
