Ok i just finished installing my .043 cometic headgasket and when I start the car, it just bogs and pretty much dies. On the cold start, the rpm is around 500 and the car just shakes and makes an ugly farting sound.
Inline pro suggested to me that it could be the cam gear timing, but I swear its right after i put the belt back on.
My friend suggested to me that its just because the piston rings havent sealed up yet and to just pour a little oil in each sparkplug hole and let it run.
I need some opinions on this. THanks. This is a b18c1 with a turbo. Thanks

Hmmm... damn that sucks. It gets frustrating when your car doesn't run right or idle's all weird... Hope you get all that **** fixed.

Well I just put the injectors, intake manifold and throttle body etc. back on my NA F22B1 after 3 months of having it apart. It choked and spit and idled really rough for about 10 seconds when I first went to start it but eventually it started running fine. I think it just took a while for the fuel rail to fill up etc. and oil to get circulated in the engine.
Heh heh,,, ugly farting sound. I think I read that term for a diagnostic description in my Helms manual too.
