I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between ceramic and stainless steel headers. I think ceramic is supposed to dissipate heat better but which one will give me better performance. I'm not a racer but I do enjoy performance but I also don't want any unnecessary wear to my engine. Any info will be greatly apppreciated.

Ceramic is a coating, stainless steel is a material. As far as performance goes, a true race tuned header is waste on a mild street car. Your SOP dyno wont know the difference. And remember you get what you pay for... Good luck

 

Mainly just looks. Stainless steel headers are mainly heavier overall weight.
