i have a 2000 si with b16a2 and its currently stock. i took out my turbo system and im gonna only do i/h/e. i was looking at headers and there are so many out there. which would work the best for a i/h/e equipped b16. i was looking at spoon, toda, mugen, comptech, headertech, jdm type R, smsp, hytech, and KOS. i know that the headertech, hytech and smsp will work really well but wont they only work BETTER than the rest with cams and higher compression. My car wont be making much power since its only gonna have bolt ons, so which header would u recommend. I wanna stay within the $600 range but i can also look for some of the higher priced headers used to stay within my $600 range. thanks for the help.

 

Have you looked into the DC JDM 4-1? That sounds pretty ideal, condisering your not going to be changing your powerband location very much.

 

I would go for the hytech header, smsp or even headertech.

 

i havent looked into the dc jdm..im not really a fan of dc products so thats why i havent looked into them. why would u suggest smsp, hytech, or headertech as opposed to the others?

 

If you plan on limiting your modifications to I/H/E, you might as well go with the best available of each.

either way you need more torque especially in the lower powerband. it's a daily driver I suspect?

 

yes it is my daily driver and i probably should have made it clear before that im gonna do mainly daily driving and autocross/road race with the car.
