Headbolt holes stripped
I just acquired a B18B longblock today to convert to an ls-vtec from my commuting DA. When I was disassembling the cylinder head I found out 2 of the head bolt holes in the short block is apparently stripped from the previous owner of the longblock. Any ideas in repairing this? I figure I gotta retap but with what equipment? Can any machine shop be able to retap? Thanks in advance.

I have found these to be stronger than helicoil.</TD></TR></TABLE>
You sure those would be strong enough for head bolts though.
Sorry man, I'm really not sure what else you could do for those threads.
