Default Head oil restrictor

Anyone here remove or drill out a bigger hole for the head oil restrictor that is in the block ? My friend removed his and he doesn't have any problem with this but I think this is a bit overkill. I was more thinking about drilling a hole the size of the exit of the restrictor, just to give a little more oil flow to the head. Any input would be appreciated ? Thanks.

Default Re: Head oil restrictor (Civic TSI)

removing the oil restrictor doesnt really hurt anything, but the reason that is on there is so the head sprays into the head. you know, high volume through a small hole creates pressure. if you open that hole a lot, then the oil just kinda sugs in there, rether than spraying in there like it was designed to.
