Default CRX radiator stopcock

Looks like I have a failed stopcock. Noticed I was overheating, pulled over, took a look and coolant's pouring out like a bitch... limped to my concert after filling w/ water, limped home with a piece of plastic wrap elastic-banded around the drain (and the rad cap removed)...

Is there any downside to simply buying a new one and putting it in? Anything I need to watch out for? TIA....

For those of you looking for a radiator, some company is selling them on ebay for like 80something bucks -shipped-. I actually just got one myself. They say new in the auction, but the one i got was repainted. They're probably re-cored ones, but who cares for the price.
