Check valve guides??? I would leakdown test the motor first... If you get air comin through the PCV system then you most likely have bad rings (since your compression test turned out okay i'm sure they're fine) If you get air comin through the intake manifold or exhaust manifold then you got a bent valve (again this is probably not going to have anything to do with oil) coolant bubbles then your head gasket is most likely blown... I'm sure everything there should check out fine but i would check your PCV valve.... If everything else is fine then I'm pretty sure that's what your problem is... Without a properly working PCV valve your motor is free to drink all the oil it wants... It just sucks it through your PCV box up the tube to the manifold and into your motor... Good Luck and i hope this helps... Latez
thank man ill go do a leak down test and get a new valve , but i hope its the valve cuz i dont feel like taking my head off agian , i juss got it back on today ..thanx man !!
Do a compression test to see if its the rings, do a leak down to test the valve seals, guides.
Did you do the head gasket yourself? If you did, then did you go about it correctly? If you didn't follow the head stud removal/install process correctly, then there's a good chance the head didn't seal on the block... or even worse it warped the head.
Did you get all the oil out of your coolant when your gasket blew? If you did, check to see if there's oil in your coolant again. If not,
Does the car still overheat?
