Default head gasket.... break in?

I just changed my headgasket (to an OEM honda one).... is there any form of breakin?

Also, I've been using mobil 1 full synthetic 15w50.....do I need to go to a natural non-synthetic motor oil first, or can I jump right back to the mobil-1?

There is no break in on a headgasket, if that's all you changed.

I changed the valve seals, resurfaced the head, and all the top-end gaskets.

Who about motor oil? Am I safe to go striaght back to synthetic?

Yeah I'd go right with whatever oil you like.

no break in would be needed go strait to ur choice of oil and make sure u idle ur car for about 5 minutes to let the oil circulate then u should have no probs

Has anyone ever heard of a headgasket leaking at first and then 'seating'... or something to that extent? I.e., you install a new gasket.... it has a leak for a few heatcycles and then goes away?

My previosu post sounding like rambling sorry. I was in a hurry. But after i changed my head gasket i thought it was leaking because after parking my cari would see a tiny puddle on the ground under the motor. It was coolant. I thought i had a leak but i cleaned my engine out real good drove it around anfd let i tdry then parked in in the driveaway and no more drips i twas jsut remannts of coolant and such from the instal and or blowing of the headgasket. Maybe thats what you think is a leak.
Is there white smoke coming out your exhaust..Well drive it a little first there could still be coolant or oil or something in your header from when it blew drive it a little first..and check your coolant level freguently.
But no i have never heard of leaking then it stopping after a few heat cycles.
