OBD1 and OBD2 are internally the same... For converting OBD1 to OBD2 all you need is an OBD2 plug... If you want, just cut all the wires, match colors, and solder back together... You can "repin" (release the pins out of the OBD1 connector and then reclip into the OBD2) the small pins (CYP P, CYP M, CKP P, CKP M, TDM P, TDC M, ICM) but there is no way besides cutting and soldering the main power (blk/yel wire) and the tach signal (blue wire) due to the fact that the pins are different...
