Default head bolts on gsr/si

im working on a b16a2 head and a b18c1 block
what head bolts should i use?
i already installed the b16a2 bolts
but my friend told me to use the gsr bolts because they are longer than the si bolts.
is that true

what about if i already installed the si bolts
would this make a difference.

Put the gsr bolts in! the shorter b16 bolts can damage the threads in the block!
