having problems with the tps sensor
once a tps sensor is removed from the TB does it have to be re-calibrated?...and if so does anyone know the specs for it?...i know u have to use a volt meter to do it...but i dont know where to set it at...its for a 94 b18c1 motor....i hope u guys can help me out cuz i cant find it anywhere....thanks
You should at least check to see if it needs calibration, but it always does, so you might as well assume that you do have to re-calibrate it.
Pull the little grommet back on the TPS harness connector (harness side) on the red/blk wire (middle one), and insert the red probe of the voltmeter in there. Ground the black probe. Adjust the TPS as necessary while watching the voltmeter.
.45V to .50V volts, with the plate fully closed. I could never get the WOT voltage = 4.5V...it always comes out a little less than that, but that's nothing to worry about.
