I'm trying to install a CTR front Sway bar but in order to do so I must replace my OEM LCA's with the GSR LCA which is what I already have. Below is a picture of where I'm stuck at. The LCA won't come off the bottom of the strut.



I've banged on it with hammers.
pryed it with break bars.
sprayed WD40 on it.
chiseled at it.
stomped on it.

I did all of this while pushing up against the upper control arms to relieve pressure off the bolt. Am I doing something wrong? Please help. I've even put everything back on and started with that point first, still no luck, please pass on some guru advice to me. Thanks in advance.

Try using the right tool, a ball joint puller will pop it out in a couple seconds.

 

if nothing else has worked, try using a pickle fork - just be careful not to trear the ball joint boot.

 

beat harder. or use a fork
