Yeah I'm replacing my half shaft snap ring and I want to know the best way I could put it on. I know I'm supposed to slide it over the top. Rubber mallet? Any tips appreciated. Just got a new one from the dealership and don't want to ruin it putting it on. Wanna get it the first try.

 

i just use my fingers

 

Use your finger and walk it on using a circular motion starting from one end to the other just like a piston ring. This prevents distortion of the part and it possibly getting stuck upon the next removal.
