half shaft/intermediate shaft
drivers side.
pulled my cv joint out of socket by mistake. cant get back in with boot on.
apparently once the joint separates, the ball rollers collapse and you have to take it all apart, I just went and got a half shaft for$69.
Is it hard to remove and reattach the half shaft to the intermediate shaft?? the manual shows some kind of bearing that needs to be pulled and pressed in??
thanks

you just push it on. a little force may be necessary.
NEVER pull on an axle or hit it with a hammer to get it ON.
To get the driver side off you should take a BFH and hit the inboard "cup" to
knock it off.

I have two, 18" long pieces of 1x2 oak that i use to lever the thing on. That joint is ALWAYS a bitch for me. I basically use one on each side of the inner joint to provide an even pressure across the rubber boot. you don't want to tear the boot getting it on, it will squirt CV grease all over your engine bay if you do. (do you wonder how I know this
