Default h23v head gasket selection advice

Hopefully some of y'all will be a good sport and help
Me figure out how thick of a HG I need...

One photo is of the block on its side (no oil pan yet) and
measurements from exhaust and intake sides of pistons
to deck I got those measurements -/+1 across the board.

And I'm trying to figure out if I measured the head recess
from the correct position. The head and block seem to have
both been milled/decked before and I just had them skim both
Again to make sure they are straight and true.

I can measure again if I didn't do it correct if someone
will please explain the proper way on the head or block.

Really need to know how thick I should buy a cometic
HG I was thinking a .060 but now I'm not sure... they sale
Them as thick as I could ever need but I'm also trying to
Pull a 12 1/2 1 compression ratio and not really sure how to
Go about it with HG thickness...

Help a feller out please...

Trying to drink the formula for this into my head...(can tilt guzzle guzzle)

So the pistons are out of the block 0.045+/- 1(in) on all 4. So that's a piston
To deck height of +0.045 ... correct? So the factory HG is 0.026 (in) crushed ...
Correct? So that's a 0.071(in) to be at a OEM spec block and crushed HG setup
Right? But then comes the fact the head is milled before I was the owner and
Then I skimmed it to just be right on. So I'm not sure if I add HG thickness
for the head being milled or is that just where having the camshafts degree'd into
Come to play. And I am having it done anyway it goes about the HG.

What ever your piston sticking out of hole is add atleast another 30k to it.... that will be your headgasket thickness

+45K is a bit out of the hole... what pistons, crank, rods you using?

Type s pistons, f22 h beam rods 142mm I think,95 mm crank
Yea it is a bit far out, I think that's because someone took. 0.010
Off the block before and I did to when I had it resurfaced.

But thank-you for the quick answer back. And does the head being
Milled need me to add more thickness?

So decked roughly 20-25k... thats a bit... yes if head has been resurfaced that needs to be figured out how much... Sounds like your going to be in the 80k area thick...

Yea that's what I'm thinking. A 75 or 80... thanks again.
Sense I used OEM oversized pistons I'm stuck between
The 88 and 87mm bore head gasket too. I talked to a
Rep for cometic on here and he said the 87mm fits
Upto a 87.5mm bore and me being at 87.1/4 It should
work. Have you ever heard about this? I just don't want
to buy the wrong one... I would clay the motor right now
But there's no way my old OEM head gasket will work so
I'm stuck measuring and hoping it turns out right.
