So i have a full internally built h22
Bottom end:
h22a1 closed deck block
golden eagle crank
eagle h beam rods
mahle gold pistons
top end:
arp head studs

the head was build in 2007 rated for up to 1000hp or so not sure what is in the head tried figuring it out with a couple people but couldn't.

So anyways here is my problem.. I have a head knock, at a cold start its loud as hell. Once the engine gets to running temp. its not nearly as loud but is still loud enough to hear it in the car. The knock goes COMPLETELY away at 2800- 3000 rpms.. I can't seem to find the problem without tearing it down which i dont really want to do. i have changed to new LMA's, timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and just did a valve adjustment.

Any help would be appriciated!!

 

It's usually tapping from the head and knocking from the block. Are you sure it's the head? Post a video.
