h22a swap
does anyone know anything about swaping a jdm h22a into a 92 prelude "s"?? please share all info that you guys have, even installation tips, or better the whole process. Anything would be appreciated. Also if anyone knows what/if I can keep my mounts, tranny, axels, or anything plesae say so. Thanks a ton for your help!
He said a Prelude S, NOT an Si, anyways, an Si has a H23 non-VTEC in it, so its not an H22A. I helped a buddy of mine do this swap over the summer. Pretty straightforward. You can use the F22 mounts i think, but the VTEC ones, im pretty sure, are beefier. Just make sure you have a Helms manual, or something of the sort, the right tools, and a long weekend
This baby should drop right into your car. i beleive the only thing is you have to wire up 3 or 4 wires i'm not sure.... i think is 4. 3 vtec wires and 1 knock sensor.
well it should be a really easy swap.
lets see... you use the your stock mount or the mount the motor come with. axles is the same, and tranny... the gear ratio on the H22A tranny is different than the S, i Beleive the H22A tranny is better (shorter gear ratio)
email me if you're looking for a prelude motor. i'll give you a dope deal on it, please email me streamlineek@hotmail.com
