Default h22 timing belt slipping. pls help.

I pulled the valve cover the other day and noticed my belt sliding off the edge of the cam gears about 1/8" to 1/4". The only thing I've done is put on adjustable cam gears and replace the belt and auto tensioner. I made absolutely sure that everything was perfect and took my time, but what's up here? Is the balancer belt gear supposed to act as a guide for the belt? Or is there some sort of guide that I don't have? I know it's normal for it to slide a tiny bit, but this seems excessive, and I'd like to make sure everything is mint before I chew up some valves.
Thanks.

There is a ring that keeps the belt in place. It goes just on the other side of the timing belt gear on the crankshaft. It looksl ike a big washer that is slightly curved at the end. But that is needed to keep the belt from sliding just the way you describe. If you need more info let me know. But if you are missing that guide "washer" then that is your problem.

Good luck
