im not so good at explaing right now please bare with me, just a lil tipsy .. lol OK so a few months ago i sold my hondata s100 p28 ecu because i was plannin on an upgrade.. but then my clutch and my reverse on the tranny went out so i had to use my money on a new clutch and a accord tranny.. anyways i hooked up my acura cl ecu to see if it would work and it works!! but no VTEC! its been runnin for a couple months now.. So now i recently got me a obd1 p13 ecu and hooked it up and reset and everything properly. then few min later when i start my car i get this wierd idlein, i guess thats normal.. then after a couple minutes my car idles really smooth so now im like hell yea ready to ride out and feel the vtec! but no, when i step on the gas the car cludders really bad and aint goin nowhere.. so now im back with my cl ecu and no vtec cuz the p13 isnt working for some reason, i dont have any clue what goin on.. i thought it should of worked fine.. if anybody know whats goin on or anything please let me know!!! try switching out the map sensor with another one, or check the tps voltage to make sure it is correct... I went through hell the past week with my h22 swap and it ended up being a bad map that didn't throw a code

 

I have the same exact problem the idle will be fine then it starts bumping up and down. then the bad cludder when u press on the gas... my cars been sitting in the garage fow awhile now so i orderd a new ecu ill let u know wat happens

 

you might want to switch out some sensors before spending money on a new ecu... good luck though

 

i decided to change out the ecu because everyones been telling me ill get the knock and egr cel with the p13 which i am getting right no

 

well is the CL ecu the same as the accord ecu? because my car did that when i ran my h22 swap in my accord. it sputtered but i was using an accord ecu. when i finally got my p13 i had to switch 2 pins on the ecu (pins a6 and a11) and it ran fine. my buddy's car had the same problem it wouldn't idle but after doing this it worked

 

yeah i think the accord and cl ecu's are the same, so your sayin you have to switch out the pins on the p13?

 

yea you have to switch pins a6 with a11. i know there is a diagram on the net here somewhere but i went nuts looking for it when i had to do my swap. i believe one of the pins is for egr and the other is for the idler valve or something???? maybe there's an h22 swap thread on here that may help but i know for sure if you havent switched these two wires than thats part of your issue.

aight now im confused, i dont have a wire going to a6 on my harness... does that mean i need a need a new harness? or what?.. i dont know.. im thinkin that i do need to switch wires though, im thinkin that i do have wiring issuses goin on and also think im useing an accord/cl distributor. maybe im not even sure.. i need help what should i do!! lol i just dont want to take my car up to the shop for somethin like this ya know! im pretty sure its not to hard at all so any help/ info i glady appreciate it yal!
